One of the original members of the adventuring group that included Xan, Joss, Nessa, John Smith and Trepea, Dirty Red early on established himself as a strong warrior with a penchant for using brute force and bludgeoning weapons to solve problems. Not the most charismatic man in the world by a long stretch, he nevertheless was a loyal and dutiful soldier in the service of what was righteous and fair. Although he went his own way not too long after joining up with the original “Troublemakers”, Dirty Red managed to make a name for himself not too far away from where they ended up settling down into a more mundane existence.
In the Archduchy of Weintäler Red found himself a job as a mercenary for the ruling Rheinpfalz family. Careful to avoid any of the petty distractions of courtly politics and shenanigans, Red more than proved his battle abilities and quickly became an indispensable officer in the service of Archduke Woldemar Alwin the Third. Such was his role within the court that Red became something of a personal enforcer for Lord Woldemar. With his gruesome physical appearance and rough mannerisms he was the perfect man to offset the almost genteel and outwardly soft appearing Archduke. Lord Woldemar was not a man that was soft on the inside, though. His harshness and iron fisted rule may not have matched his personal mannerisms but that only heightened the need for him to have a man like Dirty Red at the ready to keep the other nobles of Weintäler in line.
On the occasion of the marriage of the Archduke’s daughter to one of the sons of his neighbor, Archduke Xan of Renatus, Dirty Red found himself thrust into a wholly new and awkward role. Having adventured with Xan in their youth the two men were now in a position to work together to unite Weintäler with Renatus and that is precisely what they were able to accomplish. While Red continued to work closely with the Rheinpfalz family to carry out their own plans in Weintäler he now got the chance to travel more, and consequently fight more, in many different places in central Partum. The main enemies now were not the petty squabbling nobles of his adopted homeland but the vile and conniving Fourth Imperium. Once more the old adventurers were going to have to band together to fight a common menace.
