Esma was a formerly wandering druid who was born in the Torkan Caliphates but through wanderlust and adventure found herself one of the most sought-after druids in the whole of Partum and a member of one of the most high-profile adventuring groups ever assembled in this part of the world. Friendly almost to a fault, Esma had a habit of befriending all manner of strange and curious creatures. Her dual roles as a protector of the land and natural environment as well as the political ruler of the Duchy of Forêt Verte allowed Esma to exercise both of her roles with more autonomy and authority. The first druid in Partum to be so empowered made Esma a strikingly powerful member of Archduke Alexander’s inner circle.

With the help of Grungaar the Green Dragon, Esma became a valuable liaison between the dragons of Renatus and basically everybody else. She also didn’t shy away from using the druidic establishment in Partum to form a network of informants regarding the dark and evil machinations of the Fourth Imperium. By maintaining a balance between the needs of the so-called civilized people and their hunger for resources against the requirements of the natural world to enable it to flourish Esma was kept quite busy indeed.

Her two greatest achievements as a member of Archduke Alexander’s court was in the remarkable protections that were extended to the members of the curiously different people that called themselves Deklatines who settled in Renatus and in the prevention of a widespread war between the nations of Partum and the Torkan Caliphates in the east. This allowed the nations that opposed the Fourth Imperium to avoid being dragged into internal and external conflicts which would only have served to weaken them in their struggle to contain if not defeat the Fourth Imperium.

Esma’s greatest achievement as a druid was her ascendency to that of Great Druid overseeing the whole of central Partum. It took many years to see this dream fulfilled, and it only made her a more powerful if busier persona in the ranks of Renatus’ elites.
